The melancholy nature of the image feels very authentic to me. There is something sad about clowns & jesters. This image was started the night that the USA began bombing Iran (for the first time) The world was on fire that evening. News coverage was constant. Everyone was in a state of panic. I was feeling the never ending stress. Eventually I decided the best thing to do in times of confusion & crises is to make art. A year later and here we go again. |
